SWM Australia have confirmed the arrival of the highly-anticipated adventure model, the SWM Superdual, from under $10,000!

After receiving huge amounts of interest following the first public viewing of a pre-production model at the 2016 Moto Expo in Melbourne, the SWM Superdual will be available from SWM Australia dealership showroom floors in just a few weeks.

“The Superdual has created a massive amount of interest with Adventure riders,” stated SWM Australia’s Stephen Tuff. “We displayed a pre-production version of the Superdual at the Moto Expo late last year and dealers were inundated with enquiry and quite a few deposits in anticipation of the production models. There’s definitely a gap in the adventure market for a quality single-cylinder machine that’s capable of comfortable long-distance riding. SWM have nailed the brief with a strong and proven engine, sleek adventure styling and good fuel capacity.”

Born from the Husqvarna TE 630 and manufactured in the same production plant in Lombadia, Italy, the SWM Superdual shares the same highly-acclaimed 600cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve four-stroke engine as the SWM RS 650R. This engine won many fans in its first incarnation with Husqvarna and it’s impressing again in the RS 650R. Now with slightly more horsepower due to the under-slung exhaust configuration on the Superdual, this 600cc engine is the solid foundation upon which this adventure bike was built.

“We expect the Superdual to sell in good numbers because it’s the bike riders have been asking for,” continued Tuff. “It’s got everything a solid single adventure bike needs and it comes in at a very competitive price.”

The SWM Superdual will hit the market at the recommended retail price of $9,990 including GST plus ORC and 24 months/20,000 KM parts and labour warranty.

A Superdual GT Kit is available for a recommended retail price of $1,500 including GST which contains Givi panniers and brackets and LED fog lights. Totoal recommended  retail price for the SWM Superdual with GT Kit is $11,490 including GST plus ORC.

The Superdual comes with 19-litre fuel capacity, 6-speed transmission, 860mm seat height, hand guards, adjustable front and rear suspension, skid plate, Brembo brakes and an engine that pumps out 54 horsepower via GET ignition and a D45 Mikuni throttle body and dry weight of 159kg.

The Superdual will be available in Australia late May 2017 from authorized SWM dealers.
