I test rode one and while I liked its styling, I noticed it is a bit slower to start than my all-tuned Downtown. This might be the weight or it is just new and I was careful 🙂
The only color is grey which concerned me since it is basically the color of the road behind the cars when (if) they are looking. I am a fan of white or silver bodywork that gets noticed. But that’s OK.
What was most jarring is that “Noodoe” panel which is full of color like a xmas tree plus the usual security concerns – wherever my smartphone can connect, someone else’s also can (by bluetooth). The color console screen also seemed to use PWM that my eyes simply cannot stand. I would prefer a couple of mechanical analog dials like on T-Max + black& white LCD in between if necessary. AK550’s console looked gary and childish. I trust it can be customized though to only white+green and let your eyes relax… did not have the time of course.
Overall handling is OK, as for responsiveness of throttle it is either new and not runned-in or I left it in the rain mode (not sport).
I hoped my feet would fit onto the “high” footrests with the “bumrest” pushed all the way back but alas I am too tall. That might need a tweak as well.
Overall a good option but I am still thinking. The PWM in the console is killing my appetite.
With the same updates as my Downtown, and after I got used to it, it might be a sweet choice.
