Get the Tenere over 90HP maintaining the same weight and include cruise control as the ONLY electronic feature apart from ABS and it will be the perfect adventure machine.

The problem with any KTM bike is you have to Keep Throwing Money at them!!! (hence the name KTM) I’ve owned 2 KTM 690 bikes and both gave me trouble which just cost MONEY!! They tend to brake easy and you need every available aftermarket extra to make them rideable and comfortable…

SO DAMN TRUE!

-Ready to Race ? My ass too… Poorly designed and assembled.
Rocker Arms, Wiring, Electronic, even the plastic, component it’s all cheap!

In 10 years of selling 690, KTM managed 1 smart stuff… Rebrand their failures with another brand called Husqvarna… Hey look? IT’s blue now!

But hey, KTM is first a listed company now… They need MORE money, so always give LESS quality (but the price? Growing steadily up…)

Japan still have some “self respect” but Occident is going down, from motorbikes to women to food to moral, all gone in that huge trash-bin called >>> Share Market (k)

Yamaha bikes might not be as well spect as ktm BUT they are much more reliable and cheaper to run.. Yamaha and Honda are the winners as fare as im concerned .. (iv owned 5 Honda XRs in the past and they are Awesome bikes too just not a fan of there new CRF 1000) (bring back the XR650r please Honda…)

Come on Yamaha. I was so excited to see this bike coming. A reliable well built KTM style bike.

You guys had such a great concept bike. Where did the suspension travel/components go? When was the last time someone even sold an off road bike with 43mm USD forks?

I’m still very keen but must admit the spec sheet is disappointing. Back to comparisons with the KTM.

As an original XT500 (followed by the XT550) owner and rider, and not really riding since the early 1990s, I’m pumped now to buy the Yammie Tenere 700 later this year. It’s what I’ve been looking for over the past 2-3 years but just haven’t found…….come on July-Aug when it’s my time to buy!!
