Hi Gill – sorry about the late reply. The GT will probably be too tall… the C is a great bike, go try to find one to test, it is a great handling thing and low seat height. Jeff.

Hi Jeff,

I know this is well after your review but my wife is fed up with being a pillion an wants a bike of her own. She is only 5ft 2/3 and 52kg so needs something with a low seat height and reasonable weight to gain confidence and learn on. I’d love her to get a Continental GT but think it would be too much for her, so what do you think? Once she has her full license she will get my Nightster and I will get the Continental or a Thruxton (money permitting).

In reply to Jatin. Hi Jatin, it's a great bike - very different to the XSR700, which is also fantastic but a different category. The XSR is a sports nakedbike, the 502C a cruiser, so really it depends on what type of riding you want to do and the seating position you are after. Is it possible for you to test ride both models or not? Jeff

As someone who is looking at getting my L. I was wondering how this compares to Yamaha XSR700 which is on my short list. I’m gonna hit 40 soon and looking at a motor cycle for an occasional weekend leisure drive .
