This same combination proved popular with riders across the field, with Pirelli riders including Ant West (Crankt Team Honda Racing) also on the podium, and privateer riders like Brayden Elliot and 2016 NZ Superbike Champion Sloan Frost (Next Gen Motorsports) continuing to build their pace and experience at ASBK level, while DesmoSport Ducati’s Mike Jones will be looking for a strong comeback at SMSP.

In the Supersport class Pirelli riders again showed their speed with Sam Clarke taking the round win using Diablo Supercorsa 120/70ZR-17 SC1 front and 180/60ZR-17 SC1 rear.  Sam was joined in the strong results with a third for Troy Guenther and 4th for Callum Spriggs (Cube Racing) with a gaggle of Pirelli privateers filling the placings of the Supersport 600 class.

In the production classes the debut of the new Diablo Supercorsa 110/70ZR-17 SC1 and 140/70ZR-17 SC2 rear in the R3 Cup saw Pirelli rider Zac Levey clean sweep the race wins, with many Pirelli riders also filling key places throughout the weekends racing in the production 300 and women’s classes, showing Pirelli as the benchmark so far this season in the 300, Women’s and R3 Cup with Pirelli riders filling the top 3 places.

With Sydney Motorsport Park the next destination, riders will again get to choose from the latest Pirelli range across all classes. This includes the Diablo Superbike SCX front available to all ASBK Superbike class competitors, as a development of the standard SC1 front and used in the FIM World Superbike Championship. With the SC2 front and SC0 and SC1 rear also available, riders will be able to choose the best tyre for the conditions, track and rider feel.

In the Supersport 600 class, the choice is SC1 or SC2 front, while on the rear SC0, SC1 180/60ZR-17 and also the SCX 190/ZR-17 Diablo Supercorsa will mean riders can again choose the best tyres for their needs.

In the Production classes, both Diablo Supercorsa and also Diablo Rosso II are available, offering several choices and price points for both developing and experienced riders in these classes.

In Moto 3, Diablo Superbike is available to riders in this class with sizes specifically developed for this smaller capacity class.

Finally the Clubsport 600 class, Pirelli introduces the new Diablo Superbike 180/60R-17 in SC1 and SC2 to the mix, along with other sizes to suit these motorcycles.
