Hey Amanda, are you looking to ride around the Island, or are you looking for a track day at the circuit? If you’re looking to do a track day you’ll want to be a relatively experienced rider who’s confident being out on track with other riders, with the appropriate gear and a motorcycle in good condition. You can normally hire a motorcycle and gear at the track though. Otherwise we’d suggest looking at doing a California Superbike School course, where you’ll have a coach providing feedback and advice, and you’ll be out on track in more controlled conditions, with other people who are also expanding their skillset.

If you’ve never done a track day and aren’t as confident, I’d definitely consider a training course at your preferred track as the first step. If you’re thinking you are ready for a normal track day, it’s a great idea to do a day with friends who also ride, so you’ve got other people you know there.
