Wollongong to Ultimo would be pushing it… Hills kill the battery life. So I’d say a confident no to that. The terrain/roads on the route from the Gong to Sylvania it’d be near flat… Jeff.

Heya, i’ve been looking at this bike for awhile. When you say the range is optimistic at 110km what would you say it is realistically? For example I was going to get it for going to the station, which is a very short ride, but for my odd overnight shifts I was hoping it’d get me from Wollongong to Ultimo (76km) then i’d charge it on shift and ride home, would it make it on the battery?

In reply to Scotty. Hi Scotty, The Super SOCO TC MAX is a lot more refined than the NKD and more closer to a full sized bike. Top speed is the same, acceleration is quite a lot slower than the top spec NKD but on par with the standard NKD. Range is similar, handling far superior but fun factor I still rate the NKD if city only riding is your main thing. The TC MAX is a more practical day to day alternative to a scooter, the NKD is just pure all out fun! Value wise, the TC MAX has it above the NKD for sure. Hope that help. Jeff.

I like it but feel the price point is too high. The Honda CB 125E is a good commuter bike and less than half the price. I accept going electric will add a premium and ongoing costs theoretically will be lower in the long run all going well but its hard to be an early adopter of new brands at this price. I hope in time the price point will come down and the brand establishes a reputation for good service and reliability but until then I’ll pass. Needless to say if money was no issue I’d have one at the drop of a hat.
