Before I tried them, I’d been using Dunlop Road Smarts and loved them. When I switched to Avons, I couldn’t believe the extra grip on cold roads in low single digit temps, and in the wet. Where the Dunlops would squirm or fishtail under power in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the Avons just stick. Dunlops got slightly better mileage, but I love the grip,handling and confidence of the Avons.
