Can anyone tell me any more about the Manifold insulator to solve the issue of the revs not returning to normal/idol when changing gear or stopping at traffic lights. I have looked on line for such a part to find nothing.
I have a 2018 Sport and it only very occasionally does this but it is annoying when it does so would be nice to solve.

Hi Perry, if you are happy with the settings then leave it. Both ends are fully adjustable (rebound, compression and preload) and the stock settings should be in the owners handbook along with the procedure for adjustment. All you need is a flat blade screwdriver, a spanner and a shock preload tool (in your toolkit). Sounds like you are OK though. Enjoy the bike! Nothing wrong with being a fair weather rider - I won't ride my Royal Enfield INT 650 in the rain... Jeff.

Hi Jeff, I have not adjusted any suspension settings from new and I believe the bike handles beautifully although I'm no John McGuinness. I am very much a recreational fair weather biker who loves the nostalgic look and heritage of my Norton. To be honest, I've not been shown or can find any info on how to adjust front or rear suspension. Any info you could provide here would be appreciated. My son loved my bike so much he has just got his full license although currently he is limited to his CBR 500. Nice bike to learn on though.

Hi Perry, good to hear. Hopefully this will help Nigel out with his comments/issues. You two are the first ever owners we have come across of the Norton Commando. Sounds like you have yours well sorted. How about suspension set-up? Cheers, Jeff.

I also purchased a 2015 961 SF in 2017 from Adelaide Motorcycle Centre. It now has 6,500 fun filled kms on it. AMC upgraded the electronic mapping to the latest specs and fitted an overflow oil tank to correct an oil leak. It has just had it's 10k km/annual service where I also pointed out to AMC that the engine would sometimes not return to normal idling speed while changing down gears and sitting at traffic lights. They fitted a manifold insulator at no charge and the engine is now running beautifully. Could not be happier with my Norton.

I purchased a new 961 SF Norton, from Fraser Motorcycles Melbourne in 2017, could some one please tell me how to stop the engine surging ,snatching or hunting (which ever you like to call it) as it can be quite dangerous in traffic, and at times will just cut out , I do not know how they ever got them to pass the road worthy test to be sold in the first place.
You should not have to spend allot of money to up grade exhausts and electronics etc after paying so much for the bikes.
Noise y engine mechanical s and clutch
