Every year the Bankstown Custom Motorcycle Show puts on a great event on Easter Friday, at Bankstown Paceway, with an awesome array of custom machinery, cool stunting, flat track and stalls, as well as running the Miss Hard N Fast competition.
It’s an event not to miss for any custom bike fan, and while most of the customs on display are cruisers there’s some extremely trick and eye catching work that anyone can appreciate, even if you’re not into cruisers yourself.
Ensuring plenty of entertainment during the day there’s also a stunt area, with Matt Mingay and his son, along with the Stuntz Inc Hot Wheels team providing plenty of thrills, and were joined by the FTP Stunts Show and FTP Trail Rider, with Kristie McKinnon and Jack Field present. Part of this included the Hot Wheels Jump Trucks, with a bit of father son rivalry, and the two competing in the ‘Mingays Extreme Jump Truck Race’ with Madz taking the morning victory while we were there.
Giving a good plug for flat track and speedway was demonstrations which included the sand drag bikes, and Bankstown MCC Flat Track and Speedway riders running various categories to give people an idea of what’s involved, from the basic level all the way up to the pros.
There was also plenty of opportunity to win prizes, whether you were taking part in the Donut Masters Burnout Comp, or entering a bike in the Bike Show, with Frasers Harley Davidson also holding a Bike Raffle with a chance to win a Harley.
For the rev heads there was also the APL Dyna Challenge, with bike’s being put through the dyno across the day, giving owners a great opportunity to check out their machines performance, especially if modified.
Other attractions included the live reptile show, which drew a strong crowd, with a Golden Easter Egg Hunt also on to celebrate the Easter weekend.
This year’s event is well and truly done and dusted, but it’s one to look out for next year if you missed it (or even if you didn’t).
