CFMOTO Australia Reveals the 675SR-R Price, $11,790 Ride Away
CFMOTO Australia has lifted the covers off its most advanced sportsbike yet, the 675SR-R. Designed to push the envelope in performance, handling, and technology, this latest addition to the SR lineup is set to shake up the competitive mid-capacity sportsbike market. Press: CFMOTO Oz
At the heart of the 675SR-R lies a brand-new, in-house-developed 675cc triple-cylinder engine—CFMOTO’s first triple. Striking a balance between twin-cylinder torque and the claimed top-end power of an inline-four, the motor churns out 66kW (94hp) at 11,000rpm and 70Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. That’s enough to propel the bike from 0-100km/h in under 3.6 seconds and past 220km/h at full tilt. Aiding its aggressive performance is an underfloor exhaust system, enhancing aerodynamics and delivering a snarling race-inspired soundtrack.
With its sights set on both road and track riders, the 675SR-R boasts a chromium-molybdenum steel frame engineered for sharp, confidence-inspiring handling. A semi-adjustable KYB suspension package—41mm upside-down front forks and a preload and rebound-adjustable rear shock—ensures stability, precision, and a well-planted feel through the corners. Stopping power is handled by 300mm dual front disc brakes and a 240mm rear disc, with high-performance calipers delivering exceptional braking performance in all conditions.
CFMOTO has pulled out all the stops in the design department, ensuring the 675SR-R carries the signature aggression of the SR family. Sharp, race-inspired bodywork is complemented by integrated aerodynamics, with standout elements including boomerang-shaped LED headlights and a futuristic suspended taillight featuring a sleek animation effect when powered on or off. The high-arch aluminium swingarm, combined with the underfloor exhaust, not only enhances weight distribution but also gives the bike a striking visual edge.
When it comes to rider tech, the 675SR-R is loaded with advanced features to enhance both performance and connectivity. A 5-inch curved TFT display offers crisp visuals and Google Maps navigation via MotoPlay, ensuring riders stay on track. The CFMOTO RIDE App provides remote access to vehicle settings and real-time status updates, while a built-in T-Box with a 4G module and 6D sensor enables seamless machine connectivity. Safety and control are bolstered with adjustable traction control, cornering ABS, and a up only quick-shifter for clutch-less upshifts. A unique Track Switch mode even allows for a reverse shift pattern with a simple bolt adjustment—ideal for those looking to maximise their track performance.
The 675SR-R enters a hotly contested category, facing off against the Yamaha YZF-R7HO, Honda CBR650R, and Triumph Daytona 660. Unlike more powerful high-revving supersport bikes, CFMOTO’s more street tuned offering strikes a compelling balance between accessibility and raw performance, making it an attractive option for both developing and experienced riders alike.
