Paul Beebe has been crowned Harley-Davidson’s 2025 APAC Technician of the Year. The brand’s highest technical honour, celebrating precision, performance, and professionalism. The international competition final was held at Harley-Davidson Headquarters in Sydney last Friday.Now in its fourth year, the competition continues to spotlight Harley-Davidson’s best technicians, strengthen dealership networks, and encourage technical excellence and career development across the APAC region, with the international arm of the competition held in Australia for the first time.

The Technician award tests knowledge, skill, retention, and problem-solving with preliminary rounds held in AEM, ANZ, China, and Japan. The top scorers from each region represented their market in an in-person showdown in Australia for APAC top honours and a chance to compete for the International Title, being announced in December.

In the third round, the technicians competed in a live skills challenge, each task closely observed at H‑D Headquarters in Australia. Paul Beebe was judged as the top technician based on performance, expertise, and professionalism.

Speaking about the competition, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson ANZ Nigel Keough said, “It was a honour hosting our top technicians from across the APAC region here in Sydney. We have the very best technicians across the industry, and this competition showcases their expertise and craftsmanship. Congratulations to all our finalists from Japan, Korea, China and Australia and in particular to our winner.”

Paul Beebe, Technician at Harley Heaven Sydney, said, “Winning Technician of the Year means a lot to me. I’ve put in a lot of hard work and gone through a lot of training, so it’s nice to know I’ve risen to the top!”

The APAC technician of the year winner took home a raft of H-D goodies, but more importantly, a shot to compete for the Top International Tech, which comes with a trip to Harley-Davidson’s 2026 Homecoming celebration in Milwaukee.
