Ducati Australia Partners with X Games Star Corey Creed On Desmo450 MX
Ducati ANZ has officially confirmed the arrival of its highly anticipated Desmo450 MX, marking the Italian brand’s bold entry into the Australian 450cc motocross segment. Alongside the announcement, Ducati ANZ has revealed a new partnership with X Games freestyle motocross icon Corey Creed.
The Desmo450 MX represents a significant technical milestone for Ducati, transferring its trademark desmodromic valve system from road racing into the dirt. Designed to deliver precise valve control, strong throttle response and sustained high-rev performance, Ducati says the engine offers consistent power delivery and durability under the extreme demands of motocross competition and freestyle riding
Supporting the engine is a lightweight chassis, advanced suspension package and race-focused ergonomics, developed to provide agility, stability and rider confidence across technical circuits and freestyle environments. Ducati has also equipped the Desmo450 MX with a comprehensive electronics suite, including configurable riding modes, multiple engine maps and advanced traction control strategies, allowing riders to tailor the bike to conditions and riding style
The partnership with Corey Creed is seen as a natural fit. Widely regarded as one of freestyle motocross’ most creative and technically accomplished riders, Creed has competed at the highest level internationally, including multiple appearances at the X Games. Known for his smooth style and progressive approach, Creed embodies Ducati’s performance-driven engineering philosophy
The Desmo450 MX made its first public Australian appearance at Summernats in Canberra in January, where fans were able to see Ducati’s new off-road machine in action. Ducati Australia has also acknowledged Motorcycles R Us as the supporting dealer for the program, playing a key role in the bike’s local debut and ongoing support.
Ducati Australia Managing Director Sergi Canovas described the Desmo450 MX as a pivotal moment for the brand locally, while Creed said the bike’s combination of power, control and electronics gives him the confidence to push harder and be more creative on the world stage.
