The agreement will see Urban Moto Imports handle distribution, dealer support and logistics for the growing brand, which has gained international attention through its debut success in the FIM World Supersport Championship.
ZXMOTO has already claimed multiple race wins in its first WorldSSP campaign with the Evan Bros Racing team, with riders Federico Caricasulo and Valentin Debise helping place the manufacturer firmly on the global performance radar.
Founded by Zhang Xue, ZXMOTO has ambitious plans beyond road motorcycles, with factory involvement planned across motocross, enduro, rally and Dakar competition. The company is also preparing to compete in the Shanghai MXGP round later this year alongside its current World Supersport effort.

Urban Moto Imports says the ZXMOTO lineup will span road, off-road and competition-focused machinery. Leading the range is the race-developed 820RR triple-cylinder supersport model, which has already proven competitive in WorldSSP competition. Joining it will be the 500RR four-cylinder sportsbike, while motocross and off-road offerings will include the MX250, MX450 and ZX300 two-stroke models. The company has also confirmed that a LAMS-approved model is planned for the Australian market.
UMI CEO Joseph Elasmar described the partnership as a major step for the distributor after 15 years in the motorcycle industry.“This is a significant signing for Urban Moto Imports and an exciting development for riders across Australia and New Zealand,” Elasmar said. “ZXMOTO is a brand with serious momentum, a clear focus on performance and passion, and a product range that we believe will genuinely surprise people.”
Elasmar said visiting ZXMOTO’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Chongqing reinforced confidence in the brand’s future.

Urban Moto Imports says ZXMOTO customers will have access to a growing dealer network of more than 100 dealerships across Australia and New Zealand, backed by spare parts supply, technical support and established logistics infrastructure. The company believes the combination of competitive performance motorcycles and strong local support will help establish ZXMOTO quickly within the Australasian market.
