Unveiled at EICMA 2025, the all-new CB1000GT blends Fireblade-derived performance with touring comfort, creating a machine designed for riders who want superbike thrills without sacrificing long-distance capability.

Power comes from a 1,000cc inline four-cylinder engine based on the legendary CBR1000RR Fireblade, producing 110kW and 102Nm. Honda has retuned the engine specifically for sports touring, delivering smoother throttle response and more accessible power across the rev range to reduce rider fatigue on extended journeys.

The CB1000GT also introduces an impressive electronics package, including Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (EERA™) suspension, Cornering ABS, Throttle by Wire and premium braking components designed to provide confidence whether carving through mountain roads or covering long highway distances.

Despite its generous equipment list, the CB1000GT tips the scales at just 229kg (excluding panniers), with Honda promising agile handling thanks to its narrow profile, refined chassis geometry and intelligent weight distribution.

Touring practicality comes standard, with detachable panniers, cruise control, heated grips, hand guards, a centre stand and a five-position adjustable windscreen all included from the factory. A 5.0-inch TFT display featuring Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, integrated navigation and USB-C charging completes the premium package.

Honda Australia General Manager – Powersports and Products, Chris Schultz, said the new model fills an important role in Honda’s touring lineup.

“The 2026 CB1000GT combines the performance and character that riders love from Honda’s 1000cc sports motorcycles with the comfort, technology and practicality needed for sports touring,” Schultz said.

“The CB1000GT strikes the perfect balance between sports bike excitement and genuine touring capability, making it a great fit for Australian riders and roads.”

The CB1000GT will be offered locally in Grand Prix Red, with Australian pricing, final specifications and genuine accessories to be confirmed closer to launch.

Customers wishing to secure one of the first Australian-delivered motorcycles can now register their Expression of Interest through Honda Australia or their local Honda dealer.
