Honda’s new three and five seat Side-by-Side models bring increased capability, comfort and practicality, from $31,499 RRP, with both variants now available for Australian farmers, landowners and commercial operators.

The Pioneer SXS1000-3 starts from $31,499 RRP, while the five-seat Pioneer SXS1000-5 is priced from $34,199 RRP. Both models are powered by a 1000cc engine paired with Honda’s six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), with Throttle by Wire, intelligent i4WD and electric power steering also standard. A heavy-duty steel chassis and Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) are designed to provide durability in demanding working environments.

The Pioneer SXS1000 Deluxe features four selectable drive modes – 2WD, 4WD, 4WD Lock and Turf – allowing the vehicle to be adapted to different terrain and operating conditions. Ground clearance is 350mm for the SXS1000-3 and 329mm for the SXS1000-5, helping the machines negotiate rocks, ruts and creek crossings. Towing capacity is rated at up to 1,134kg, while the electric-tilt cargo bed can carry up to 454kg, subject to maximum weight capacity.

The five-seat model also features Honda’s QuickFlip rear seats, which can convert to add cargo space.

More comfort and convenience

Honda has focused on improving comfort as well as capability, with tighter panels and improved sealing designed to reduce rattles and provide a quieter ride.

LED headlights improve visibility in low-light conditions, while the Pro-Connect Bed system provides additional utility and accessory integration.

Other standard convenience features include under-seat storage, USB-C charging ports and a roof, while cruise control and Variable Speed Limiter (VSL) functionality are also fitted.

Honda Australia General Manager – Powersports and Products Chris Schultz said the new Pioneer had been developed with the demands of Australian customers in mind.

“Australian customers rely on their vehicles to perform day in and day out, often in tough conditions,” Schultz said. “That’s why the new Pioneer SXS1000 Deluxe range has been engineered to deliver the durability, capability and ease of use they need, while also introducing practical new features that make long days on the property or worksite more comfortable and productive.”

Genuine accessories

Honda Genuine Accessories available for the new Pioneer range include a speed limiter key, tip-out glass windshield, digital front/rear-view mirror, lighted side mirrors, wiper washer kit, aluminium skid plate, Pro-Connect bed sides, Pro-Connect headache rack, utility side mirrors and EVA upper front doors.
