I’ve had my R1250RS Exclusive with Dynamic ESA delivered late August & the suspension is perfect.
Loaded with 50kg in total throw over bags, going hard at it from the Bruxner Hwy through to Woodenbong, set on Road, it performed like a magic carpet ride.
The R1250RS is one seriously excellent piece of kit providing a very planted & quick riding experience with brilliant TFT connectivity & loaded with very unobtrusive safety electronics.

Hi Angus, this one I tested was the exclusive too. Can I ask your height? As I mention, I found it cramped with the lower seat on this model.
I’m 187cm and 100kg in gear. Yep, it’s a bloody fantastic bike and that boxer motor is so full of character, makes it really fun to ride. Jeff.

Nicely pruduced review Geoff, well done. I have a late model R1200RT but am thinking of swapping it for something a little sportier. The RT actually handles pretty well for a big old girl. Would the ST be that much better?

Thanks Glenn, I’ll hopefully have the R 1250 R video up today some time. The RT are pretty surprising, I know, but the ST gives a bit more of a sporty edge for you – of course the trade off is the touring comfort but in short, you would find throwing the ST around so easy after owning the RT! Jeff.

Hi Jeff Ware,

Both feet flat when stopped
You need the higher seat 👌
I apologise for the delayed response.

Thanks Angus! Yes for sure, the HP version of the R model was perfect for me… Didn’t ride an RS with the taller seat unfortunately. Jeff.
