After another stunner of a season, this one tougher than many, the FIM MotoGP Prize Giving ceremony brought the curtain down on a history-making and record-equalling year spanning nine premier class winners and 15 podium finishers.

The top performers in MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE were rewarded at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve on Sunday evening, collecting their prizes on stage in a special edition of the event hosted by commentator, Steve Day.

2020 MotoGP World Champion Joan Mir riding for Team Suzuki Ecstar added his piece of history to the trophy, joined by FIM President Jorge Viegas and Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.

Rookie of the year went to KTM’s Brad Binder.

The MotoGP Rookie of the Year award went to KTM’s first premier class race winner Brad Binder riding for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

While Franco Morbidelli ended the year second in the standings and was the top Independent Team rider, presented with the latter trophy by IRTA President Herve Poncharal.



The Moto2 World Championship went to Enea Bastianini from Italtrans Racing Team who put up a fierce fight to the end, winning the championship by just nine points.

While Moto3 World Champion Albert Arenas from Gaviota Aspar Team took home the trophy after securing just three first place finishes in 2020.

Jordi Torres crowned champion with Matteo Ferrari (Matteo Ferrari’s rep on stage) and Jordi Torres taking home second and third.

The FIM Enel MotoE World Cup top three in 2020 took their respective places on the stage with Jordi Torres from Pons Racing 40 taking home the championship with Matteo Ferrari and Jordi Torres taking home second and third.
