CFMOTO arrived at EICMA with a production-ready 1000MT-X adventure-tourer, slotting in above the awesome 800MT range and completing the MT family. Words: Kel Buckley
CFMOTO used EICMA to underline both sides of its expanding portfolio. The 1000MT-X slots in above the 800MT to become their largest adventure model, taking the MT range up to one of the largest adventure and adventure sports families in the market.
CFMOTO 1000MT-X
CFMOTO used the event to announce it has expanded its MT adventure line-up with the all-new 1000MT-X, a 946cc parallel-twin touring model unveiled alongside the one-off 1000MT-X Crafted concept that was also there.
The 1000MT-X sits at the top of CFMOTO’s MT family, powered by a 946.2cc parallel-twin producing 83kW (111hp) at 8500rpm and 105Nm at 6250rpm. The 56kg engine uses a lightweight alloy crankcase and precision-formed camshafts, with Bosch’s MSE 9.0 EFI system refining throttle response after more than 100,000km of endurance testing. The bike’s dry weight is quoted at 199kg.

Fully adjustable KYB suspension and a complete Brembo brake setup form the core of the running gear.
CFMOTO claims over 450km of range from the 22.5L fuel tank, while the chassis targets a balance of stability and agility. Fully adjustable KYB suspension and a complete Brembo brake setup form the core of the running gear, joined by aerospace-grade 7-series aluminium rims – said to be 67 per cent stronger than conventional alloys – and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
A Bosch six-axis IMU governs five selectable ride modes, ABS, dynamic traction control and other rider-assist systems, all accessed through an 8in touchscreen TFT display.
Standard equipment includes tyre-pressure monitoring, a quick-shifter, cruise control, heated grips and seat and adjustable handlebars and windscreen. Protective parts such as a skid plate, handguards and chain guard are standard.
Ergonomics have been designed for long-distance comfort, with a slim upper section and stepped seat offering freedom of movement when seated or standing. The 1000MT-X will be available in Zephyr Blue or Tactical Green.
CFMOTO also presented a one-off 1000MT-X Crafted at the Milan show, built in Italy to demonstrate the model’s customisation potential. The concept features bronze forks and wheels, satin-grey engine covers, frame protectors, magnetic swingarm covers and protection bars, giving it a more rugged, personalised finish while showcasing the adaptability of the production platform.

It’s funny that CF-Moto almost never quote the service intervals of their bikes. It’s not in the website, on their promo materials….
