“Rider feedback continues to be at the forefront of what drives refinements and enhancements for our model year offerings, and that is once again the case for 2022 with a host of new ride-enhancing technology and accessories across the lineup,” said Mike Dougherty, President for Indian Motorcycle.

It hasn’t all been performance upgrades, Indian Motorcycle have been making changes to their software too…

To enhance the rider experience, Indian Motorcycle is introducing refinements to Ride Command. New software updates include expanded Bluetooth device compatibility and a faster load time when booting up the display. The new updates are standard on all 2022 Ride Command- equipped models, and available as a software update for 2020 and 2021 models. After listening to valuable rider feedback, all 2022 Indian Challenger models feature a retuned traction control for a smoother feel once traction control is engaged.

Indian Motorcycle Thunderstroke and PowerPlus-equipped motorcycles range from baggers to touring models – each offering heritage-inspired design or blacked-out, modern style. Air-cooled baggers and touring models, including Springfield, Chieftain and Roadmaster lineups, pack the Thunderstroke motor, while Challenger models deliver a class-leading 122hp with the liquid-cooled PowerPlus engine.  Saddlebags and the Roadmaster tour trunk provide plenty of storage for riding gear and cargo, while wind protection, comfortable ergonomics, floorboards, amenities, and a comfortable two-up seat make these models the ultimate long-distance machines.

The baggers have received a number of impressive upgrades across the board.

This year’s 2022 bagger and touring lineup receives fresh new paint colours across each lineup. Colours like Quartz Gray on the Chieftain Dark Horse and the all-new Spirit Blue over Black Metallic on the Challenger Limited add to each bike’s stand-out attitude that will turn heads at every stoplight.

To accommodate additional storage needs on longer rides, Indian Motorcycle has released its Spirit Lake Luggage Collection, which includes a Rack Bag, Day Bag and Touring Bag. Each piece features a shoulder strap for convenient carrying off the bike and attaches securely to luggage racks, sissy bars, or the rear of the passenger backrest.



In addition, bagger and touring riders can add personalised style and add visibility to other motorists with all-new rear LED saddlebag lights. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the standard lighting, these Pathfinder Auxiliary LED Saddlebag Lights do not require any drilling, but rather feature a convenient peel-and-stick adhesive for easy and quick install.

Designed specifically for Challenger models, the Hard Lower Fairings are compatible with all 2020-2022 model year offerings. Riders also have the option to add PowerBand Audio or additional storage compartments within the Hard Lower Fairings.

Pure and classic styling define the Indian Springfield. 2022 Springfield Dark Horse
Turn heads with matte paint with blacked-out finishes, an open fender with 19” 10-spoke contrast cut front wheel, and mid-rise handlebars. The mean look is complimented by an array of amenities including remote-locking hard saddlebags, keyless ignition, cruise control, USB charging, ride modes and rear cylinder deactivation. This year’s model is available in Black Smoke and new Quartz Gray, Pricing for the Dark Horse starts at $35,995.



2022 Chieftain Dark Horse
Featuring the commanding Thunderstroke 116, the 2022 Chieftain Dark Horse offers ride-enhancing amenities a seven-inch touchscreen powered by RIDE COMMAND with Apple CarPlay integration, selectable ride modes, rear cylinder deactivation, and new Metzeler Cruisetec tyres. Other standard amenities include ABS, cruise control, highway bars, remote-locking saddlebags, tyre pressure monitoring and full LED lighting. Exacting attention to detail in paint and fully blacked-out finishes provide a premium, custom look. Chieftain Dark Horse is available in three paint schemes: Black Smoke, Ruby Smoke, and an all-new Quartz Gray, starting at $39,495.

2022 Challenger Dark Limited

The robust Indian Scout lineup offers both classic and contemporary designs. The Scout, Scout Bobber, and Scout Bobber Twenty offer different riding ergonomics and styles, while packing a punch with an 1133cc engine. This year’s 2022 Scout lineup receives a new refresh with new paint colours across the lineup – further enhancing the iconic appearance and lines of the bike. Colours like Silver Quartz Smoke on the Scout Bobber and Spirit Blue Metallic on the Scout Bobber Twenty add to the modern design and low profile look that riders love with Scout Bobber models.

2022 Scout
The iconic Indian Scout features a 1133-cubic inch, liquid-cooled V-twin that puts out 70 kW and 97 Nm of torque. The Scout comes from the factory with a sport seat and passenger pegs for convenient two-up riding. The Scout is adding Maroon Metallic and Silver Quartz Metallic over Black Metallic to its colours while continuing to offer Black Metallic and White Smoke, starting at $21,495.



2022 Scout Bobber
The Scout Bobber is powered by the same 70 kW engine as the Scout, but features a black-out, stripped down look and a more aggressive riding position. The chopped fenders, low-rise handlebar, and side-mount license plate deliver a mean, old- school look that commands attention. Two fresh new colours are
available for 2022 – Silver Quartz Smoke and Titanium Metallic. Other available colours are Black Smoke, Black Metallic, Alumina Jade Smoke and Maroon Metallic Smoke, starting at $20,495.



2022 Scout Bobber Twenty
The “Twenty” in Scout Bobber Twenty pays homage to the original 1920 Scout. Modern technology paired with stripped down, minimalist Bobber style and a dose of classic heritage provide the perfect blend of old-school design and modern function. Wire wheels, mini-ape handlebars, and low-profile solo seat provide a comfortable ride and classic style. Scout Bobber Twenty comes in four colours: Black Metallic, Stealth Gray and new for 2022 Silver Quartz Smoke and Spirit Blue Metallic, pricing for the Twenty will start at $21,995.
