Waters enters the finale with a 50-point lead (338 to 288) over Mike Jones (Yamaha Racing Team) in the SW-Motech Superbike class, with 51 points still on offer across qualifying and two 11-lap races. The Bend’s fast, open layout should play to Ducati’s horsepower strengths, meaning Waters could seal the championship as early as Saturday qualifying.
Jones, though, is a proven performer at The Bend, having started from pole three times, including last year. If he can repeat that one-lap magic, fans could be in for a tense Sunday showdown.
Behind the title fight, Anthony West (Addicted to Track Yamaha) sits just 19 points adrift of Jones in third, while Cameron Dunker, Glenn Allerton, and Broc Pearson are separated by only three points in the battle for fourth. Local favourite Troy Herfoss, a six-time winner at The Bend, also returns to the grid, adding further firepower to a stacked 20-rider field.

The championship-deciding weekend will also see titles awarded in Kawasaki Supersport, ShopYamaha R3 Cup, BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup, and Superbike Masters, following Scott Nicholson’s early victory in Race and Road Supersport 300.
British Superbike star Kyle Ryde will add international flair in the Supersport class, joining front-runners Jack Mahaffy and Archie McDonald in what’s shaping up to be a blockbuster finale.
Spectators can enjoy 17 races across the weekend, press conferences featuring Waters, Ryde, and ASBK legends Chris Vermeulen, Garry McCoy, and Steve Martin, plus thepopular Sunday pit lane walk for autographs and fan photos.

Action kicks off from 8am ACDT (8:30am AEDT) each day at The Bend — and all eyes will be on Waters, who stands on the brink of rewriting ASBK history.
