Brien, a senior technician at Chris Watson Motorcycles in Cessnock, NSW, qualified for the global final after winning the 2025 Oceania Technician Grand Prix. With more than 16 years of experience in the trade, the Australian entrant returned to WTGP after previously finishing runner-up in 2019, this time delivering his strongest result yet.

Across the multi-day competition, technicians were tested on real-world workshop scenarios including advanced diagnostics, fault-finding, repair accuracy and customer service skills, all completed under strict time constraints. Judging focused not only on technical ability but also on communication, efficiency and professionalism.

Brien competed under the campaign name “The Outback Impact”, a nod to his Australian roots, and impressed judges with his consistency and attention to detail throughout the event.
