CFMOTO 1000MT-X, arriving late May for the all-new adventure model
CFMOTO Australia has confirmed pricing and arrival timing for the all-new MY26 CFMOTO 1000MT-X, with the flagship adventure tourer set to arrive in Australian dealerships in late May 2026 priced at $18,990 ride-away. The 1000MT-X was first revealed at EICMA 2025.
According to CFMOTO Australia, the new model is “the next evolution of CFMOTO adventure touring, engineered for riders who demand long-distance comfort, serious off-road capability and advanced technology.”
Powering the 1000MT-X is CFMOTO’s 946.2cc parallel-twin engine, producing 111hp and 105Nm. The company says the engine is tuned to deliver strong and accessible performance across a broad rev range. CFMOTO states that the powerplant maintains “more than 90 per cent of peak torque between 5500 and 8000rpm,” delivering strong acceleration whether touring on highways or tackling more technical terrain.
The engine features a range of premium internal components including NTN bearings and an FCC clutch, along with ceramic-coated cylinder bores, forged pistons and fracture-split connecting rods, all designed to reduce friction and enhance durability. CFMOTO also notes that the engine platform has undergone over 100,000km of endurance testing.
Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable KYB components, including a 48mm upside-down fork and monoshock offering 230mm of travel front and rear on the standard model.
A Low Suspension (LS) version will also be available, reducing suspension travel to 190mm and lowering seat height from 870mm to 830mm to improve accessibility for shorter riders.
The 1000MT-X rolls on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, while braking is handled by Brembo components with dual 320mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc.
Electronics are managed via a Bosch six-axis IMU, supporting rider aids such as cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and cruise control. Riders can choose from five riding modes — Standard, Off-Road, Rain, All-Terrain and a customisable Master mode.
Touring equipment is extensive, including a 22.5-litre fuel tank with a claimed range of more than 500km, heated grips and heated seat, an adjustable windscreen, and an 8-inch vertical full-colour TFT touchscreen with smartphone connectivity via the CFMOTO RIDE app.
Protection equipment including a skid plate, handguards and chain guard also comes standard.
Two colour options will be available for the standard model — Tactical Green and Aerolite Grey — while the LS variant will be offered exclusively in Aerolite Grey.
To celebrate the launch, CFMOTO Australia is also offering buyers a choice of two introductory accessory packs, available until 30 June 2026, allowing owners to tailor the bike for touring or off-road adventures.
