Epic AUD $60m MotoGP and Rare Bike Haul Rescued in Stunning International Raid
Epic AUD $60m MotoGP & Rare Bike Haul Seized in International Raid | A jaw-dropping $60 million collection of rare MotoGP machines, WorldSBK-era superbikes and exotic motorcycles has been seized by authorities from a private stash linked to fugitive Ryan Wedding.
In a major operation this month, Mexican and U.S. authorities uncovered around 62 high-end motorcycles believed to be part of a private collection stored across multiple properties. The haul reportedly includes MotoGP bikes raced by legends like Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Iannone, along with a Marc Marquez title winning machine and other limited-production superbikes.
Photos released by the FBI show long rows of immaculate racing-ready machines and rare performance models that would be the envy of any enthusiast or collector. Many of the bikes carry iconic racing liveries and provenance that hint at their on-track history, contributing to the staggering valuation. Thankfully, the bikes have been rescued and will hopefully be looked after.
Among the standout pieces reported are Ducati MotoGP racers, classic superbikes and what appear to be ex-factory or limited-run machines from the golden era of world championship racing. The ultimate fate of the collection — whether it will be preserved, auctioned or otherwise — remains uncertain as it is currently held as evidence.
