FTM Motion Streetdog80 and Streetdog50 Arrive in OZ
FTN Motion, an exciting new electric bike company that has sold more than 200 electric motorbikes in NZ, is now taking pre-orders in Australia- ahead of its official launch in March. But you better hurry, as FTM say there are only 10 units remaining of the 50 launch units. Press: FTM Motion
FTN Motion say they have earned a strong reputation for selling out limited production runs in advance. In 2021, the company sold out its first production run of 100 Streetdog50 models, and earlier this year, it sold out the initial production run of 50 units of its latest model, the Streetdog80, ahead of its official release later this month.

The Streetdog80 boasts a top speed of 80km/h and a range of up to 140km when equipped with a second battery, with prices starting from $12,950, including on-road costs. In comparison, the Streetdog50 reaches speeds of up to 50km/h and offers a range of up to 180km, with prices starting from $11,260, including on-road costs. Both models have garnered international praise for their stylish design and practicality as urban commuting solutions, according to FTM Motion. We don’t doubt it, they certainly look awesome.
FTN Motion founder Kendall Bristow says the launch in Australia will mark the first time the public can test ride both Streetdog models in Sydney and Melbourne.
“It’s fantastic to see such strong interest from Australian customers,” said Bristow. “With traffic congestion and parking becoming increasingly problematic, more people are looking for fast, fun, and environmentally friendly ways to get around. It’s exciting to see how many are embracing the Streetdog as a solution for urban travel.”
Australian customers who reserve a spot in FTN Motion’s first production run for Australia will be invited to test ride and configure their Streetdog before production begins in April 2025.
FTN Motion will be at the Everything Electric Expo in Sydney from March 7-9, and will host test rides in Sydney on March 11-12 and in Melbourne on March 14-15. BikeReview will be reviewing the Streetdog80 and 50 as soon as possible, stay tuned!
