Marco Bezzecchi And Aprilia RS-GP Say I Do In Hilarious Ceremony!
Aprilia Racing has confirmed Marco Bezzecchi will remain with the Noale-based MotoGP team after signing a new multi-year contract, securing the Italian rider’s future aboard the RS-GP and to celebrate the team celebrated in typical Italian style and humour wit a wedding! Press: Aprilia Aus
The renewal follows Bezzecchi’s standout first year with Aprilia Racing, where both rider and machine quickly established themselves as championship contenders. In a characteristically playful announcement from Aprilia, the RS-GP – affectionately nicknamed “Albarosa” by Bezzecchi – once again “said yes”, formalising a partnership that has already delivered historic success for the Italian manufacturer.
Bezzecchi joined Aprilia Racing at the start of the 2025 MotoGP season and has since become the most successful rider in the team’s MotoGP history. His debut campaign yielded three Grand Prix victories at Silverstone, Portimão and Valencia, along with sprint race wins at Misano, Mandalika and Phillip Island. Across the season, Bezzecchi amassed 15 podium finishes, claimed five pole positions, and secured third place overall in the championship with 353 points.

The contract extension reinforces Aprilia’s long-term strategy in MotoGP, with Bezzecchi seen as a central figure in the continued development of the RS-GP platform. Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola described the renewal as the team’s top priority, noting that Bezzecchi’s decision to stay – despite interest from rival manufacturers – underlines the strength of the project and the team’s working environment.
“I’m very happy to have renewed for another two years,” said Bezzecchi. “From the first day I signed, I wanted to build a long-term project. I’ve found huge support from the team and from the factory in Noale, and I hope I can give them a lot of joy, just as they will continue to give me.”
Rivola added that the light-hearted tone of the announcement reflected Bezzecchi’s personality, but stressed the seriousness of the commitment behind it. “We’ve built a path on solid foundations, and Marco choosing to stay with us gives even greater value to the work and spirit of this team.”
With Bezzecchi locked in and development of the RS-GP continuing at pace, Aprilia Racing now turns its focus to building on its momentum and pushing for further MotoGP success in the seasons ahead.
