Yamaha has announced one of its most exciting colour additions in years, confirming the 2026 XSR900 GP will arrive in Legend Yellow livery honouring AMA and Grand Prix icon King Kenny Roberts. first deliveries expected from February 2026 at a ride-away price of $22,049. Press: YMA.

The announcement marks a bold tribute to one of racing’s most influential figures. Roberts, America’s first MotoGP world champion, claimed three 500cc titles and spent 13 years with Yamaha, leaving a legacy that shaped modern riding and racing technique. His unforgettable 1975 Indy Mile performance and dominance through the late ’70s cemented him as a Yamaha legend.

The 2026 XSR900 GP channels that with a striking yellow-and-white paint scheme featuring Yamaha’s iconic black speedblocks, creating a modern interpretation of Roberts’ 1970s–80s GP-winning YZR500s. While the new model is technically unchanged for MY26, the colourway brings a retro-racer identity to Yamaha’s sport heritage lineup.
