Royal Enfield say that the Royal Enfield ‘Classic’ has remained the purest expression of RE DNA – elegant, undiluted, and timeless. As the foundation of several Royal Enfield models, it embodies impeccable pedigree, old-world charm, and an unwavering character. With bespoke craftsmanship and design language, the Classic represents the very essence of classic automotive design, aesthetics, and engineering.
Sharing the main frame with the Shotgun and Super Meteor, the Classic 650 was tested throughout Spain and parts of Europe and India. The 650 Twin engine shared with the 650 family features polished chrome and alloy and is internally identical to the other models aside from exhaust design, airbox and final fuel mapping. There are no ride modes or traction control, wet weight is 243kg.
The classic look dash incorporates a digital LCD screen with ODO, fuel, twin trips and the usual indicators, and all Classic models Down Under will feature Tripper Nav. Alloy rims are featured, while non-adjustable shrouded forks and preload adjustable shocks are up the back. There are solo and pillion seats available, and a wide range of accessories to accomodate solo and pillion riders. Each model variant comes with a rack and pillion seat.
