Royal Enfield have revealed their first electric bike, the Flying Flea, a day before EICMA kicks off…

The new Flying Flea FF.C6 EV bike is named after the original Royal Enfield FF from 1943. In the Second World War, Royal Enfield delivered the Flying Flea, an innovative motorcycle that could be airdropped by parachute behind enemy lines. Once it landed, all a paratrooper had to do was unscrew the single wing nut, lift the bike out, rotate the handlebars 90 degrees, kickstart and go… We will have more details on the FF.C6 shortly, with a rundown on the bike in weeks to come.

The Flying Flea C6 is the very first Royal Enfield to get Cornering ABS and Traction Control and is India’s first electric motorcycle! RE say it is designed primarily as a commuter. Flying Flea is the new sub brand for Royal Enfield, and they say there will be more to come. No performance details have been revealed for the C6 yet, so we can’t tell you weight, battery or range. The frame is alloy, as are the girder style forks, and the dash is a full TFT unit. The battery case is lightweight magnesium.
