Shannons Insurance COVID-19 update, customer support
With the COVID-19 virus being declared a global pandemic, Shannons want to share some important information about the steps they are taking to support customers during these uncertain times. This is a statement from Geoff Keogh, Head of Shannons Insurance.
“Our first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers, our people and the general public. We’re closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and, following the advice of the government authorities, we will respond to any updated recommendations.
“Like many organisations, the impact of COVID-19, the recent natural disasters and severe weather, are disrupting some of our operations and may cause some delays. We apologise for this and recommend when phoning to please hold and we will endeavour to take your call as soon as possible”.
Shannons is well prepared
“Shannons is committed to supporting our customers for their insurance needs. Our call centres are fully operational and ready to assist you on 13 46 46.
“Please note however, our state offices and showrooms will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday 23 March 2020 until further notice to ensure the safety of our customers and staff”.
Shannons Auctions
“As a result of government restrictions and health authority advice our Shannons Auctions showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne have been closed temporarily since Monday 23 March 2020. Our live auctions planned for May 11 in Melbourne and May 25 in Sydney will be postponed.
“We are also currently reviewing the potential for online timed auctions. We will communicate the details of these, including instructions on how to register and bid once finalised. We encourage our customers to visit shannons.com.au to keep updated”.
Shannons Events
“Shannons is a large supporter of motoring events within the community. We are working with the event organisers during these uncertain times. Many events have already been postponed or cancelled so we recommend you contact the event organiser directly to obtain updates.
Given the circumstances, we will be actively updating our COVID-19 page available on our website”.
