Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition, a limited-production model inspired by the original British cafe racers of the 1960s. 800 examples will be produced worldwide, each supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity, with Australian deliveries to begin from March 2026.Based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, the Cafe Racer Edition sits at the top of the Speed Twin range, blending modern performance with classic cafe racer style. Key changes include low clip-on handlebars, the removal of pillion footpegs, and a distinctive brown bullet seat with removable rear cowl, creating a committed, tucked riding position and a clean single-seat silhouette. Pillion pegs are supplied in the crate for owners who wish to reinstate two-up capability.

Visually, the Cafe Racer Edition stands apart thanks to its exclusive British racing-inspired colour scheme. Competition Green and Aluminium Silver paintwork is finished with Empire Gold coachlining and bespoke “Cafe Racer Edition” graphics, complemented by Aluminium Silver wheels and a colour-matched Competition Green headlight bowl. Details such as machined bar-end mirrors, ribbed engine cover badges, sculpted knee pads and brushed aluminium mudguards complete the premium look.

Underneath the styling, the mechanical package mirrors the Speed Twin 1200 RS. Power comes from Triumph’s high-compression 1200cc Bonneville parallel twin, producing 105PS at 7750rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4250rpm. The 270-degree firing order and low-inertia crank deliver strong midrange punch and sharp throttle response.

Suspension is top-shelf, with fully adjustable Marzocchi USD forks up front and Öhlins twin rear shocks, while braking is handled by twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers. Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres are fitted as standard.

Modern rider aids include Road, Rain and Sport riding modes, Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control, plus Triumph Shift Assist for clutchless up and downshifts. A combined LCD and TFT display retains a classic round-dial look while offering phone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and a USB-C charging port.

Triumph says the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is aimed at riders and collectors seeking exclusivity without compromising performance or everyday usability.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition will be available in Australia from $30,490 rideaway, with strictly limited numbers allocated to local dealerships from March 2026.
