Yamaha launches YAMAFEST track day at Sydney Motorsport Park 2026
Yamaha Motor Australia is bringing riders and Yamaha enthusiasts together with the first-ever YAMAFEST track day, giving Yamaha owners a chance to ride, connect, and experience the brand on a Grand Prix circuit. We’ll be checking out the day and having a spin too. Here are the details!
YAMAFEST is set for Sunday, 29 March 2026, at Sydney Motorsport Park’s iconic Grand Prix circuit. The one-day event is open to all Yamaha motorcycles, whether new or classic, and welcomes riders of all skill levels. Entry is priced at $299 per rider, while non-riding spectators can attend for free. Spots are limited, and Yamaha is encouraging early registration to secure a place on the grid.
Organised in partnership with MotoSchool, YAMAFEST offers a professionally run track environment where riders can enjoy the thrill of the circuit on their own Yamaha machines. The event caters to everyone, from first-time track riders seeking guidance and confidence to seasoned riders looking for a safe, well-managed venue to explore the limits of their motorcycles.

Participants will have multiple sessions on the Grand Prix layout, giving them plenty of track time. For those without a suitable machine, MotoSchool will offer hire bikes, including Yamaha’s YZF-R9 supersport models. These machines, paired with the latest Dunlop tyres, provide a high-performance option for riders keen to experience Yamaha’s R-series lineup at full pace.
Beyond riding, YAMAFEST is designed to be a social hub for Yamaha enthusiasts. Riders can mingle with like-minded owners, explore the latest models, and get a closer look at Yamaha’s R-Experience initiatives. It’s a chance to celebrate the brand, share tips, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with a day focused entirely on motorcycles.
Industry observers note that Yamaha’s focus on community engagement and rider development is becoming increasingly important. “Events like YAMAFEST allow riders to explore their motorcycles in a controlled environment while learning from professional instructors,” one commentator said. “It’s not just about speed; it’s about building confidence and fostering a community of riders who share a passion for Yamaha.”
