Figures for the first quarter of 2020 motorcycle sales has been released with Yamaha Motor Australia coming out on top. Yamaha Motor Australia would like to thank all its customers and dealers who assisted in Yamaha posting the highest number of retails of all brands in Australia.

The win has highlighted Yamaha’s Ténéré 700 adventure twin as Australia’s new favourite motorcycle. Ténéré 700 was released in late 2019 and has soared to the top of the retail charts, overtaking Yamaha’s WR450F enduro weapon in the process.

These two models were notable large capacity exceptions to the smaller capacity, fun models and scooters occupying the other top ten retail positions.

Yamaha Motor Australia has posted impressive retail results across all categories, notably in the utility ROV category that saw a retail increase of 15% over the same period in 2019. Yamaha also retained top spot in the off-road segment with enduro, MX and fun models continuing to sell in large numbers.
