Product Review: RNT Motorcycle Gloves

RNT Motorcycle Gloves offer a good value glove for the mild to cooler seasons.

These gloves are from RNT Clothing, a new motorcycling gear company, offering affordable motorcycling apparel, with a small range currently available, that will continue to grow.

Part of the current range is these KS1009 Motorcycle Gloves, which are a full leather glove with Keprotec material providing additional protection, in conjunction with reinforced carbon-fibre knuckles, and reinforced palms and fingers.

These are the Black/Grey option, offering a downstated glove, with good feel thanks to not being too bulky, that are ideal for milder through to cooler weather in Australia. Being un-ventilated they can become warm in really hot weather however.

Comfort and construction are both good, with the RNT gloves an ideal choice for mild weather and handling light rain easily. Being leather you don’t want to get them sodden however.

For $89.99 RRP they offer a good alternative, with my only gripe being the velcro at the wrist needing a wider contact patch on the glove, allowing the glove to be tightened more (or less) to suit the rider’s wrist. I’ve got smaller wrists however, but would still appreciate the ability to tighten or loosen the velcro as needed.

I wore the gloves for a few weeks except on the really hot days, during summer, and they’ve proven themselves a viable alternative to the big name brands.

Keprotec increases the protection offered by the leather, as an additional layer in specific high impact/abrasion areas.

Comfort and fit are good, with supple, light leather offering good feel.

There’s no bunching on closing your fist, ensuring they won’t become uncomfortable during long rides.
