Superbike Masters Set for Return to ASBK in 2026
The Superbike Masters–a cherished showcase for classic superbikes and legendary riders–will make a welcome return as part of the 2026 mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) calendar. Press: ASBK Media
The historic class will contest three rounds next year, bringing a fresh wave of period machines and fan-favourite competitors to the ASBK paddock.
Superbike Masters racing will kick off at Morgan Park Raceway from May 29–31, before heading to Queensland Raceway (June 26–28) and concluding during a late-season round of the newly restructured ASBK calendar.

The 2026 Superbike Masters field will open competition to both Period 6 (1983–1990) and, for the first time, Period 7 (1991–1999) machines. That means a broader range of production-based sport bikes from the 1990s will be eligible, expanding the depth and variety of grid entries.

Classes will include P6 Formula 750 and Formula 1300, as well as Period 7 Supersport, Superbike and Production Superbike categories. Livestream coverage will be available on the ASBK website and social channels for fans unable to attend trackside.
The headline Superbike Masters trophy–the Darren Lark Memorial Trophy–will once again be contested, honouring the late series coordinator. Beau Beaton dominated the Masters last year aboard a Ducati 851, while other past champions like Ryan Taylor and celebrated names such as Garry McCoy and Troy Corser have added pedigree and excitement to the category in previous seasons.
The Masters’ return adds a rich historical element to the 2026 ASBK season, which itself is shaping up as a transitional campaign ahead of a new summer-based championship format set to launch in 2027.
