After a wet and unpredictable Saturday, Sunday’s Superbike races were held in dry but blustery conditions, with gusty crosswinds keeping riders on edge throughout both 11-lap encounters. Despite the challenging conditions, the racing remained intense across the field.
In Race 1, it was 18-year-old Cameron Dunker who broke through for his maiden Superbike victory, having previously amassed six podium finishes in the class. The Blue Marlin Pools Yamaha rider capitalised on late drama when championship leader Harrison Voight ran wide at turn one on the final lap. Dunker seized the opportunity and held his composure to take the win ahead of Cru Halliday and Glenn Allerton, with Voight slipping back to fourth ahead of Jonathan Nahlous, Mike Jones, Josh Waters and Jacob Roulstone.
“It can’t be happier; the team has been unreal and given me a great bike,” Dunker said after his breakthrough victory.
Race 2 saw defending champion Josh Waters return to form in dominant fashion. After securing his 21st Superbike pole position in wet qualifying, Waters steadily built momentum in the race before turning up the pace from lap six. Once in control, he pulled clear of the field to claim a convincing victory, with Voight and the fast-finishing Nahlous completing the podium.

Dunker was again in the mix for a strong result in Race 2 before being passed late, while Roulstone finished fifth ahead of Halliday, Allerton and fill-in rider Olly Simpson.
With seven of 11 races now complete, the championship standings remain close. Voight leads on 147 points, holding an 11-point margin over Waters (136), followed by Roulstone (124), Dunker (113), Halliday (108) and Allerton (103).
The supporting classes also delivered plenty of drama. In Kawasaki Supersport and Supersport Next Gen, Tom Toparis and Hayden Nelson shared race wins, while the championship battles tightened with Jake Farnsworth maintaining a narrow lead in Supersport and Nelson moving to the top of the Next Gen standings.
In Supersport 300, Riley Nauta emerged as a standout performer, claiming two victories on Sunday to surge into second in the standings behind New Zealand’s Tyler King, with a tight group of riders closely packed behind them.
With a maximum of 102 points still up for grabs, the 2026 ASBK championship remains wide open. The series now heads to Morgan Park Raceway (May 29–31) before concluding at Queensland Raceway (June 26–28) in what promises to be a thrilling run to the title.
