The Monster Energy CDR Yamaha rider entered round seven with a commanding championship advantage and adopted a calculated approach at Green Park, finishing third in both motos. That was enough to give Beaton an unassailable 61-point lead over Kyle Webster and teammate Aaron Tanti.

Beaton’s championship victory caps a remarkable comeback after a broken leg ended his 2025 campaign prematurely. The 2026 title adds the premier-class crown to the MX2 championship he won in 2016. “Unbelievable, I’ve been waiting a long time for this so to put it together this year is brilliant,” Beaton said. “It’s been an unreal season and I’m just super happy to get it done.”

Beaton had been virtually untouchable throughout the season, winning 11 of the opening 12 MX1 motos before taking the sensible approach at Conondale. Aaron Tanti claimed the overall round victory with 2-2 results, while Honda Racing Australia teammates Nathan Crawford and outgoing champion Webster shared the moto wins. Webster and Tanti now sit equal on points heading into the final round, setting up a battle for second place.

In MX2, Alex Larwood extended his championship advantage over teammate Kayd Kingsford to 26 points after winning the round with 2-1 results. Hayden Draper retained the MX3 lead despite racing while unwell, while Lachlan Turner remained unbeaten in the women’s MXW championship.
