ZXMOTO has confirmed that pricing and pre-orders for its initial Australian and New Zealand motorcycle range will open on Thursday 8 October 2026. The announcement follows months of work involving dealer appointments, technical training and stock planning. Press: ZXMOTO Australia

The initial pre-order range will include sports, naked and motocross models, although ZXMOTO says additional motorcycles may be added before the launch date.

The confirmed lineup includes the 820RR, powered by an 818cc inline-triple engine and based on the platform being raced by Valentin Debise in the WorldSSP championship; the 500RR, a lightweight inline-four available in both LAMS and unrestricted versions; the four-cylinder 500F naked bike; and the MX250 and MX450 motocross machines.

ZXMOTO has also teased an exclusive offering, with further details expected in the days leading up to the pre-order launch. Phase one of the brand’s Australian and New Zealand websites is now online at zxmoto.com.au and zxmoto.co.nz.

The websites provide information on the first six models, specifications and racing schedule. Phase two is scheduled to go live on 8 October and adds the initial dealer network, pricing, finance options and online pre-order functionality.

The first 820RR has also arrived in Australia, with ZXMOTO releasing an unboxing video showing the motorcycle being removed from its crate and revealing its engine, finish and componentry. The company says the 820RR uses the same platform on which Debise has claimed six WorldSSP victories this season. Unboxing videos for the 500F, 500RR and MX250 are expected to follow.

ZXMOTO’s Australian technical team has recently returned from the company’s global manufacturing facility, where it worked alongside the engineers responsible for designing and building the motorcycles. The training covered engine architecture, electronics, diagnostics and complete service schedules. ZXMOTO says the knowledge gained will now be shared with its dealer network ahead of the first customer deliveries.

The company has described technical preparation and dealer training as key parts of its planned ownership experience in Australia and New Zealand.

ZXMOTO will also contest the Dakar Rally, with Joyride Race Service confirmed as the official factory team for the project. Rally-raid rider Tobias Ebster will make his Dakar debut aboard the ZXMOTO 450 Rally. The brand says the project will combine an experienced race team with a motorcycle that will be tested in one of the world’s most demanding off-road events before reaching Australia and New Zealand. The 450 Rally is confirmed as part of ZXMOTO’s future ANZ range, with more information expected as the Dakar program develops.

We recently sampled the ZXMOTO MX250 at CityMX, with Dan Thomerson taking a good look over the bike before heading out for some test laps.

We’ll have a quick spin on the MX250 up as soon as possible, followed by a more thorough test once we’ve had more time on the bike.

Dan’s early impressions are positive, with his initial thoughts suggesting the MX250 is a really good bike. We’ll reserve final judgement until we’ve spent more time riding it, but the first signs are certainly encouraging.
