The MotoDry Advent Tour jacket and pants make an ideal adventure touring combo, with the RXT Edge a great value option. Review: Ben O'Brien
RXT Edge Helmet – Black / White
RXT have made a seriously light helmet with the Edge at only 1095 grams and the comfort and fit is good for my melon with no pressure points and good venting.
The included fully removable liner is almost a must in my books, helping to keep my helmets as fresh as possible and easy to clean.
Wind noise isn’t too bad for a full MX helmet but if you are into long adventure rides then a full face may be better suited to the job.
The RXT Edge helmet is available for just $249.95 RRP.
RXT Edge helmet features:
- Superlight – Only 1095 grams (size m)
- Ultra Flow Ventilation System
- Large Eye port to accept large frame goggles
- Adjustable Peak
- Double D Rings
- Superlight fibre composite
- 3D Fully Washable / Removable Liner
- AS/NZS 1698 Standards Approved
There’s plenty to like about the MotoDry Advent adventure jacket and pant combo. Built in is CE approved elbow and shoulder armour, as well as a back protector, all of which are removable but why would you – they are barely noticeable with the jacket on.
Zippers are all heavy duty YKK items attached to heavy duty 600D abrasion resistant material. I have ridden in this getup on pretty hot days and if you can find them all, there are vent panels everywhere. I mean everywhere, it’s actually amazing how well vented the jacket is once you open these up.
Also included is a zip out waterproof liner in both the jacket and pants. I found it was best to leave these out unless the weather really turned.
Overall this is a good and well priced adventure setup.
