More than 500 motorcyclists and pillions joined MotoGP stars for the 2026 Homecoming Ride, enjoying ideal riding conditions and a special lap of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit ahead of this weekend’s Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia.

Phillip Island race winners Alex Rins and Johann Zarco were joined by Red Bull KTM Tech3 teammates Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini, along with Australian riders Senna Agius, Joel Kelso and Jacob Roulstone, for the popular pre-event celebration.

The event began at San Remo, where fans gathered to meet the riders and hear from the international stars during a series of Q&A sessions before the group prepared to hit the road.

With the sun shining and hundreds of bikes assembled, the convoy departed San Remo and travelled through Cowes before continuing to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The ride gave fans the opportunity to share the road with some of the world’s best motorcycle racers and enjoy the unique atmosphere surrounding one of Australia’s biggest motorsport events.

The sight and sound of hundreds of motorcycles travelling together created a fitting start to Grand Prix week, bringing the riding community together with the riders who will be competing for world championship points across MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 this weekend.

For fans, the opportunity to meet the riders away from the pressure of the racetrack was a highlight, with the Homecoming Ride providing an accessible way to celebrate the sport and be part of the build-up to the Australian Grand Prix.

The successful event also highlighted the strong connection between motorcycle racing and the wider riding community, with enthusiasts travelling on their own bikes to take part in the experience.

With great weather, a huge turnout and Grand Prix stars leading the way, the Homecoming Ride delivered a memorable celebration of motorcycling and set the scene for a big weekend of racing at Phillip Island.
