A total of 136 bikes took the track at Round 1 of the Yamaha bLU cRU 2-stroke Nationals held in Traralgon on the weekend, riders and teams alike were astonished with the quality of races, event scheduling and time spent out on the track.

With a rider pool from across the nation, a relaxed vibe and outstanding talent showcased at Round 1, the series has seen increased entries overnight for the second round of the series at Coolum on Sunday March 3.

Series promoter Kevin Williams was pleased with the first ever 2-Stroke Nationals and grateful for the support of his partners, “I was delighted with the turn out across the board and overwhelmed with the amount of young talent, it was great to be able to showcase young and old riders alike, from the 65cc young guns all the way thru to old stars such as Paul Grant former factory Honda rider on board his CR500,” he explained.

“I would like to thank Yamaha Motor Australia for their support in this new series as well as there on going support to all young and old Yamaha riders, as well as Yamaha i would like to thank our other partners Thor, Raceline, YMI and YMF, and a special thank you to the Traralgon Motorcycle club and the Latrobe City Council,” concluded Williams .
