In the lead up to the highly anticipated first season of the ground breaking new Australian Junior Road Race Academy, Motorcycling Australia has announce the 2019 bLU cRU Oceania Rookies Cup event calendar.

Running in conjunction with selected rounds of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK), the bLU cRU Oceania Rookies Cup will kick off at the Official ASBK Test at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit from 2 – 3 February.

  • Round 1 – Wakefield Park Raceway (ASBK) – Goulburn, NSW 22 – 24 March
  • Round 2 – Broadford State Motorcycle Complex – Broadford, VIC 6 – 7 April
  • Round 3 – Morgan Park Raceway (ASBK) – Warwick, QLD 5 – 7 July
  • Round 4 – Winton Motor Raceway (ASBK) – Benalla, VIC 6 – 8 September
  • Round 5 – Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit (ASBK) – Phillip Island, Vic 4 – 6 October
  • Round 6 – Sydney Motorsport Park (ASBK) – Eastern Creek, NSW 1 – 3 November

bLU cRU Oceania Rookies Cup

As the juniors begin to find their feet, they will head to Wakefield Park Raceway for Round 1 of the Cup, which will run alongside Round 2 of the 2019 ASBK season, from 22 – 24 March. Located in Goulburn, New South Wales, Wakefield Park Raceway will present our riders with a technical challenging circuit.

The Rookies will then head South to Broadford State Motorcycle Complex, Victoria from 6 – 7 April, for Round 2 – their first and only non-ASBK round. before traveling North to Queensland, for Round 3 at Morgan Park Raceway, from 5 – 7 July.

From 6 – 8 September this Junior squad will head back down South for Round 4 of the Cup, to be held at Winton Motor Raceway in Benalla, Victoria. A track where the value of being a demon under brakes will dictate who wins.

Returning once again to Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit from 4 – 6 October for Round 5, competitors have the invaluable experience of racing at the world-famous circuit, where the bLU cRU Oceania Rookies will learn the art of slipstreaming around the fast-flowing rhythm of ‘The Island’.

Rounding out the 2019 season, the show will head to Sydney Motorsport Park in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, 1 – 3 November. The final round of the bLU cRU Oceania Rookies Cup will run in conjunction with the final round of ASBK, where our first Champion will be crowned.
