KTM has recalled the KTM 50 SX models of model year 2019 to the workshops of authorised KTM dealers in order to check the fitting of the carburetor cover.

Reason:
The carburetor cover may have been assembled incorrectly during production. As the cover is also functioning as carburetor slide stop, if incorrectly fitted, it may cause the throttle slide to get stuck or not return to the closed position. For consumer and vehicle operating safety the correct fitment of the carburetor cover must therefore be checked on affected vehicles.

Customer Information:
Customers to whom the affected motorcycles have already been delivered are being personally informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

Authorised dealer procedure:
Authorised dealers will complete the prescribed check of the carburetor under the manufacturers technical instructions. Checking the fitment of the carburetor cover takes approx. 15 minutes and can be carried out by authorized KTM dealers only. The check / repair described in the campaign is conducted free-of-charge.
