Now in its 46th edition, the Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours will feature 55 teams—up from 46 in 2024—including 15 permanent FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) squads, the highest since 2019. Riders will battle through Japan’s brutal summer heat and humidity around the iconic 5.821km figure-eight Suzuka Circuit, with ambient temps over 30°C and humidity above 90 per cent.
While the race duration may be shorter than Le Mans or Spa, Suzuka is considered one of the toughest EWC rounds. A strong Japanese presence is matched by global talent from MotoGP, WorldSBK and beyond, including Johann Zarco, Jack Miller, Andrea Locatelli, Michael van der Mark, Loris Baz, and Leon Haslam, joining EWC regulars like Gregg Black, Mike Di Meglio and Alan Techer.
Permanent EWC heavyweights include:
YART Yamaha
Yoshimura SERT Motul
F.C.C. TSR Honda France
BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team
Kawasaki Webike Trickstar
In the Superstock class, six full-season World Cup teams line up, including National Motos Honda, Team Étoile, Wójcik Racing, Dafy-RAC 41-Honda, Honda No Limits, and Revo-M2, all on Dunlop rubber.
The prestigious Top 10 Trial returns on Saturday afternoon, deciding grid spots for the fastest teams in a head-to-head shootout format—always a crowd favourite and a true Suzuka tradition. Notably, Team Suzuki CN Challenge will make history as the first EWC squad to contest Suzuka using 100 per cent sustainable fuel, reflecting Suzuki’s future-forward push in endurance racing.
The event kicks off Friday, August 1, with free practice and qualifying, while Sunday’s main race begins at 11:30am local time and runs until 7:30pm. With top-tier talent, brutal conditions, and a grid stacked with factory effort, the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours is shaping up to be an unforgettable endurance classic.
