Edoardo Colombi continues to make history in the BBS. At Donington Park, the reigning Aprilia RS660 Trophy Champ completed a perfect weekend in the Pirelli National Sportbike class, taking the pole position and a double victory in both races. Report: Aprilia Racing.

After his historic success on his debut at Oulton Park, Edoardo Colombi returned to dominate on the Sportbike class, winning both races by a considerable margin. A showdown for the Italian rider, who crossed the line 9 seconds ahead in Race 1 and 6 seconds ahead in Race 2, leaving behind the experienced riders of the British championship.

This result once again confirms the excellent form of the Italian Colombi-Aprilia RS660 duo and shows that the Aprilia Trophies are an excellent development path for young riders.

“It’s been a perfect weekend, I’m very happy to have clinched another double win, once again starting from pole position. In Race 1, I made a strong start and once I took the lead, I maintained it until the chequered flag. The second race was more challenging, but also rewarding: whenever I needed to push the pace, I managed to pull away from my opponents and secure another win. I would like to thank the Team Gradara and everyone who contributed to this fantastic result, as well as Aprilia Racing for the RS660 Trophy, which is proving to be in line with the most competitive championships.”
