The 2026 championship has already produced a battle in the premier Pro 450 class, with five different race winners at the opening round in Maryborough. Cameron Dunker currently leads the championship on 403 points, ahead of international flat track star Max Whale (385), John Lytras (363), Cooper Archibald (329.5) and Riley Nauta (306).

Dunker, Whale and Lytras will be among the riders to watch at Diamond Park, while Nauta has emerged as a serious contender after scoring a shock Pro 450 victory on debut at Maryborough. Last year’s championship runner-up Daniel Wicks will also be looking to recapture his Diamond Park form after dominating the venue 12 months ago.

The Junior Lites championship is equally competitive, with local rider Jed Fyffe leading Neiko Donovan by 30 points. Fyffe also set the fastest lap of the opening round across all classes and will be looking to make the most of his home-track knowledge. The weekend will also feature Junior 85s, Over 35 All Powers and the debut of the popular Pro Twins class, which will race exclusively on Saturday.

Saturday’s racing will take place under lights on the traditional oval layout, with qualifying from 1:30pm and racing from 3:30pm. Sunday switches to the challenging TT layout, with racing from 11am.
