Benelli’s Leoncino returns in 2018
With over a 100 years of heritage and inspiration to draw from, Benelli has re-invented one of the Pesaro firm’s most beloved motorcycles, the Leoncino, which will be available for $8,990 Ride-Away.
This Italian design from CentroStile Benelli matches the motorcycles sharp forms with harmonious lines. From the front fender, which proudly displays the Lion of Pesaro, on to the new front headlamp featuring LED technology, then to the fuel tank and seat, all flowing and emphasising the personality of the new Leoncino.

A Benelli trademark, the beautiful steel trellis frame houses an all new powerplant from Pesaro; a twin-cylinder four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 500cc made by Benelli. This all new engine is smooth and responsive, with 48hp at 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 45Nm. Features include electronic injection, double overhead camshaft timing system, four valves per cylinder, hydraulic clutch and a six-speed gearbox.

The front suspension features upside down 50mm forks, with 320mm rotors mated to four piston brake calipers. At the rear, the swingarm’s movement is controlled by a laterally mounted shock absorber and braking is handled by a 260mm disc with a two-piston caliper. The 17in rims shod with Pirelli Angel tyres guarantee stability and sporty performance in any conditions.
