Motorcycling Australia have announced the official bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup 2021 calendar, which will see 20 of Australia’s best young road racing hopefuls go head-to-head at 6 rounds across Australia. With a capacity field in 2021, the bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup (OJC) is now in its third year.

The 2021 season will kick off at Philip Island.

The OJC will kick-start its season at one of the worlds most respected and loved tracks, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Victoria, as part of the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship, presented by Motul (ASBK) and the Australian All Wheels Race Fest, February 19-21.

The OJC riders will then undertake a two-day intensive training program as part of the academies’ development program, headed by former MotoGP rider and Official OJC Coach, Damian Cudlin, at Winton Motor Raceway, February 23-24. Riders will be taught riding/racing techniques, fitness assessment and testing, career planning, media and sponsorship training.

Damian Cudlin will host a training day at Winton Motor Raceway.

The Yamaha YZF-R15 show then heads north with ASBK to Benalla’s Winton Motor Raceway for round 2, March 12-14, which always produces very tight racing. OJC then heads interstate for round 3 with the ASBK to Goulburn, Wakefield Park Raceway, NSW, April16-18.

They will be returning to action after the mid-season break for round 4 at Queensland’s Morgan Park Raceway, August 20-22; as part of round 5 of the ASBK Championship. Rounds 5 and 6 are yet to be announced, and with venues and dates to be announced soon.

“From the world-famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, where riders will learn the art of slipstreaming, to the tight and technical tracks of Winton Motor Raceway and Wakefield Park Raceway, to the undulating and technical Morgan Park Raceway, the 2021 OJC calendar has it all and provides the diversity required from a development perspective,” he said Motorcycling Australia Operations Director, Martin Port.
