It’s about time that Moto3 riders who slow during qualifying and other sessions have the full force of the FIM brought down on them. Not only is it dangerous, it’s also not sportsman like. The few riders that actually have a crack on their own or with a fair slipstream deserve better.

17 riders have been penalised. For being slow on line during the final laps of the Q1 session at the Gran Premio Michelin® de Aragon, John McPhee (Petronas Sprinta Racing) has been given a Long Lap for the Moto3™ Race at the Aragon GP.


Kawasaki


For riding slowly in Q1: It being a first offence, Yuki Kunii (Honda Team Asia) has been suspended from the first 10 minutes of Moto3™ FP2 at the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel. For a second offence, Stefano Nepa (Solunion Aspar Team Moto3) has been suspended from the first 15 minutes of Moto3™ FP2 at the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel.

Romano Fenati

For a fourth offence, Davide Pizzoli (BOE Skull Rider Facile Energy), Filip Salač (Rivacold Snipers Team), Riccardo Rossi (BOE Skull Rider Facile Energy) and Khairul Idham Pawi (Petronas Sprinta Racing) have been suspended from the last 25 minutes of Moto3™ FP3 at the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel.

For riding slowly in Q2: For a second offence, John McPhee, Darryn Binder (CIP – Green Power) and Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) have been suspended from the first 15 minutes of Moto3™ FP2 at the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel.

For a third offence, Sergio Garcia (Estrella Galicia 0,0), Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse), Raul Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Ayumu Sasaki (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) and Albert Arenas (Solunion Aspar Team Moto3) have been suspended from the last 15 minutes of Moto3™ FP3 at the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel.

For a fourth offence, Gabriel Rodrigo (Kömmerling Gresini Moto3), Jaume Masia (Leopard Racing) and Jeremy Alcoba (Kömmerling Gresini Moto3) have been suspended from the last 25 minutes of Moto3™ FP3 at the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel.
