CFMoto Australia has released the new 650MT Adventure Tourer to take on the Australian market. Sharing the same successful platform as its naked cousin the 650NK, the 650MT is sure to follow in the 650NK’s footsteps with its competitive specifications and price point.

The 650MT is the third CFMoto model to be designed by Kiska (the company behind KTM design since 1992) firstly the 150NK economical commuter, then the 400NK/650NK aggressive naked combo and now the 650MT Adventure Tourer.

At the 650MT’s heart is a powerful 649.3cc liquid cooled, parallel twin engine, with an eight-valve, DOHC, Bosch EFI system, boasting 41.5kW at 9500rpm and 62NM of torque at 7000rpm (LAMS restricted). The same engine powers the 650NK and has plenty of go, well suited to the 650MT’s intended use to seek adventure.

New USD long travel forks with 140mm wheel travel, to tackle the Aussie countryside both on and off the bitumen. At the rear the MT has 145mm of wheel travel through a cantilever single rear shock providing a plush and responsive feel.

Brake set up is provided by Spanish brake company, J.Juan, equipping the 650MT with an aggressive twin set up at the front including twin dual piston calipers paired with 300mm discs and at the rear a single piston caliper mounted to a 240mm disc giving plenty of braking power. Continental ABS comes as a standard feature on the 650MT.

Further touring features include adjustable ride modes from sport to rain make the 650MT more forgiving with gentle power delivery on slippery surfaces, an adjustable windscreen up front to deflect the elements, large 18-litre fuel tank great for touring with a 400km range, LED lighting all round and an easy to read dash with all the essentials, trip meter, clock and handy fuel warning light, just to name a few.
